“Jonah’s Whale” -  The story:  “Jonah’s Whale” is our fanciful version of the Biblical story of Jonah and his whale (leviathan) 

This sampler is designed in an illuminated manuscript style.

Design Size 213 x 224.  Mostly cross stitch but enhanced a bit with some extras as mentioned below.

The cover model was worked over one on Wichelt Jobelan 28ct – Hand-dyed Thyme #429-513 with 14 colors Dinky Dyes silk floss.  Includes a DMC approximate cross reference.

Finished size on 28 ct over 1 = 7 2/3” x 8”; Finished size on 18 (36 over 2) = 11 7/8 x 12 ½”

Specialty Stitches include eyelets, French Knots, eyelets, back, and straight stitch. This design may be worked over 1 thread of fabric - 

Our model is worked over 1 thread of fabric with 1 strand of suggested Dinky Dyes floss.
